The 25th October 2011 was the 2nd Bolton Manufacturing Network Group Monthly Meeting after the launch in September. More new faces attended the meeting and we are now creating a real buzz about manufacturing in the area and how we can work together to stimulate the local economy. Bolton has always had a great reputation as a manufacturing town and we are looking to help grow local businesses based on that reputation.
Each of the attendees of the meeting paid 15 pounds on entry, which was donated to local Bolton based charity Lagans Foundation. The group donated a total of 120 pounds, all raised from the evening of the event. Bev, a memeber of the team at Lagans Foundation explained to the group how the donation would be used to help care for children with Congenital Heart Defects and Feeding Difficulties. She also talked us through her own experience of losing her grandaughter Lagan earlier this year and the difficulties of launching a new charity.
